Terms of Service
Article 1 (Purpose)
The purpose of these Terms is to set out the rights, obligations, and responsibilities of Sketch Plastic Surgery (hereinafter the "Hospital") and Users with respect to the use of the service (hereinafter the "Service") provided through the website operated by the Hospital.
Article 2 (Definitions)
- "Site" means the virtual space established by the Hospital using information and communications facilities in order to provide the Service.
- "Service" means all internet-based services provided on the Hospital's website and on any internet site operated by the Hospital.
- "User" means any person who uses the Service provided by the Hospital in accordance with these Terms.
- "Member" means any person who registers as a member through social login and uses the Service in accordance with the provisions of Articles 7 through 10.
- "Social login" means the method by which a User authenticates their identity with an external authentication service account (Kakao, Naver, Google, Apple, and the like) in order to access the Service.
- "Operator" means the person designated by the Hospital for the overall administration and smooth operation of the Service.
Article 3 (Posting and Amendment of the Terms)
- These Terms take effect when the Hospital posts them on the Service screen.
- Where there is a change in circumstances or a significant business reason, the Hospital may amend these Terms to the extent that such amendment does not violate relevant statutes, and the amended Terms take effect upon being announced or notified in the same manner as provided in Paragraph 1.
- Matters not provided for in these Terms and the interpretation of these Terms are governed by relevant statutes or commercial practice.
Article 4 (Contents of the Service)
- The Hospital provides the following services:
- Information about the Hospital, its medical staff, and its treatments and procedures
- Usage information such as clinic hours and directions
- Information on consultation inquiries by telephone, messenger, and email
- Other services determined by the Hospital
- The Hospital may change the contents of the services it provides where necessary, and upon any such change it announces, on the Service screen, the details and the date on which the changed service will be provided.
Article 5 (Suspension of the Service)
- The Hospital may temporarily restrict or suspend the provision of the Service where there is an unavoidable reason such as system inspection or maintenance, a communications failure, a reorganization of the Service, or an emergency measure.
- The Hospital does not compensate for damages incurred by Users as a result of a suspension of the Service for a reason set out in Paragraph 1. This does not apply, however, where the Hospital acted with intent or gross negligence.
Article 6 (Nature of Medical Information)
- Information on procedures and surgeries, case photographs, reviews, and similar material posted on the website is intended to provide general information and does not replace a medical diagnosis or prescription for an individual patient.
- The effects of a procedure and the course of recovery may vary depending on an individual's physical condition, and specific matters must be confirmed through an in-person consultation with the medical staff.
Article 7 (Membership Registration)
The provisions of Articles 7 through 10 apply from the date on which the Member service commences (Paragraph 2 of the Addenda).
- A User applies for membership registration by authenticating their identity through social login and agreeing to these Terms and the Privacy Policy.
- The Hospital registers an applicant as a Member unless one of the following applies:
- The application was made by misappropriating another person's identity
- The applicant has previously lost Member status under Article 9 of these Terms
- The application contains false information or omissions
- The membership registration agreement is formed at the time the Hospital grants its acceptance.
- The Hospital does not issue its own IDs or passwords, and authentication is carried out solely through an external authentication service.
Article 8 (Withdrawal of Membership)
- A Member may request withdrawal at any time through the withdrawal function within the Service or through the Hospital's contact channels, and the Hospital processes the request without delay.
- Upon withdrawal, the Member's information is destroyed. However, treatment-related information subject to a retention obligation under the Medical Service Act or other relevant statutes is retained for the period prescribed by the applicable statute.
- When a withdrawal is requested, identity verification is satisfied by social login authentication or by confirmation of the Member's name and contact details. The Hospital does not collect resident registration numbers in this procedure.
Article 9 (Loss of Member Status)
The Hospital may cause a Member to lose Member status where any of the following applies to that Member.
- The Member has entered false information in their membership details
- The Member has interfered with another person's use of the Service or misappropriated another person's information
- The Member has provided information obtained through the Service to a third party without the Hospital's consent
- The Member has interfered with operations, such as by altering information provided on the website
- It is otherwise determined that it is inappropriate for the Member to retain Member status
Article 10 (Re-registration)
A Member who has withdrawn and wishes to re-register may register again in accordance with Article 7. The Hospital does not collect resident registration numbers in the re-registration procedure.
Article 11 (Protection of Personal Information)
- The Hospital collects the minimum personal information necessary to provide the Service, and matters concerning its collection, use, and provision are governed by the separate Privacy Policy.
- The Hospital takes the technical, administrative, and physical measures necessary to ensure safety so that personal information is not lost, stolen, leaked, forged, altered, or damaged.
- The Hospital does not use personal information beyond its purpose or provide it to third parties without the User's consent. This does not apply where there is a special provision of law.
Article 12 (Obligations of the Hospital)
- The Hospital endeavors to provide the Service continuously and reliably in accordance with relevant statutes and these Terms.
- The Hospital takes the security measures necessary to protect Users' personal information.
- Where the Hospital acknowledges that an opinion or complaint raised by a User is justified, it handles the matter promptly.
Article 13 (Obligations of Users)
- Users must not engage in the following conduct when using the Service:
- Registering false information when applying or making changes
- Improperly using another person's personal information
- Making unauthorized alterations to information posted on the website
- Using information obtained through the Service for reproduction, processing, translation, publication, distribution, or similar purposes, or providing it to a third party, without the Hospital's consent
- Defaming another person or causing disadvantage to another person
- Infringing the copyright or other rights of the Hospital or a third party
- Disseminating information that violates public order and good morals
- Conduct objectively recognized as being connected to a crime
- Transmitting information that interferes with the operation of the Service, or transmitting advertising information against the recipient's will
- Other conduct that violates relevant statutes or the Hospital's rules
- With respect to a User who has violated Paragraph 1, the Hospital may restrict use of the Service or cause the User to lose Member status.
- Users are liable to compensate for damages incurred by the Hospital or by other Users due to causes attributable to the User.
Article 14 (Management of Postings)
Where content posted by a User falls under any of the following, the Hospital may suspend the posting, delete it, or take similar action without prior notice.
- Where a rights holder has requested suspension or deletion of the posting in accordance with the procedures prescribed by relevant statutes
- Where the posting infringes rights, such as by defaming another person
- Where the posting violates public order and good morals
- Where the posting is determined to be related to a criminal act
- Where the posting is markedly advertising or commercial in nature
- Where the posting violates relevant statutes such as the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection or the Copyright Act
- Where the posting may violate Article 56 (Prohibition, etc. against Medical Service Advertisements) of the Medical Service Act
Article 15 (Ownership of Copyright and Restrictions on Use)
- Copyright and intellectual property rights in works created by the Hospital belong to the Hospital.
- Users must not, without the Hospital's prior consent, use information obtained through the Service for commercial purposes by means of reproduction, transmission, publication, distribution, broadcasting, or any other method, or allow a third party to so use it.
Article 16 (Resolution of Disputes)
- The Hospital and Users make all necessary efforts to amicably resolve any dispute arising in connection with the Service.
- The Hospital gives priority to handling complaints and opinions raised by Users. However, where prompt handling is difficult, the Hospital notifies the User of the reason and the schedule for handling the matter.
Article 17 (Jurisdiction and Governing Law)
- Any lawsuit concerning a dispute arising between the Hospital and a User out of the use of the Service is to be filed with the competent court in accordance with the procedures prescribed by relevant statutes.
- The law of the Republic of Korea applies to any lawsuit filed between the Hospital and a User.
Addenda
- These Terms take effect on July 20, 2026. These Terms constitute a complete amendment of the previous terms (enacted on April 20, 2021), and are being published on this website for the first time.
- The provisions of Articles 7 through 10 (Members) apply from the date on which the Hospital commences its Member service and announces that fact on the website. Until then, the Service may be used without membership registration.
- The previous terms (enacted on April 20, 2021) cease to have effect from the effective date of these Terms, and their full text may be reviewed upon request to the Hospital.
